CLASSES

Our curriculum combines structured and unstructured activities that encourage young children's most important work-creative play.
Toddler Class (Ages 2 & 3)

The focus in our toddler program is on four key developmental areas: Sensory and perceptual development, self-help skills, physical and motor skills and social and emotional growth. The first few years of your child’s life are crucial to the development of personality and intellect. This is a period during which learning takes place at an accelerated pace. We provide the sense of security and loving care that pre-nursery children need to thrive during this stage of intense learning, learning to trust caregivers and to respect others. Since toddlers are especially committed to achieving independence, our teachers provide responsive individual attention as your child deals with positive experiences as well as frustration. We focus on labeling our feelings, and practicing every day experiences and challenges. Our curriculum takes advantage of the rapid growth of gross and fine motor skills at this stage of development.

JK Class (Ages 3 & 4)

Our Junior Kindergarten Program is structured with opportunities that promote all around healthy living; enabling the children to gain confidence and independence while they build their coordination and movements, problem solving techniques and social skills. Placing emphasis on Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, and Mathematics, the children explore and discover, gaining a deep understanding of themselves, the world, and how the two relate. Developing concentration, learning good working habits, sharpening their senses; learning to communicate, distinguish, categorize, and relate new information are all examples of skills gained. The program is planned with activities that provide the very foundation on which the child approaches more intricate academic exercises, and lays the foundation for future learning, while emphasizing proper manners and positive sportsmanship.

Kindergarten Class (Age 5)

Following Manitoba’s Curriculum, our Kindergarten program is designed to provide your child with all the tools to be fully equipped to enter elementary school. Through Jewish themes, the children will sharpen their Cognitive, Physical, Language, and Mathematic skills, while gaining a deep love for learning. The program will include formal learning settings as well as hands on exploration. Emphasis is placed on building friendships, and the individual’s talents and capabilities, laying the foundation for positive self-esteem and commitment to lifelong learning.
