We have had so much fun since we have been back from winter break! We continued to learn our ABC's and explored all things "music" for the letter M. We made our own class orchestra by creating shakers, drums, and our very own tap shoes. We also had fun playing with finger symbols and large symbols. This past week we have learned about "night" for the letter N. We sorted daytime and nighttime activities and talked about all the wonderful things we see in the night sky. We spent some time talking about stars and the importance of the light they provide us. We also worked very hard to recreate a famous painting about stars--"Starry Night" by Van Gogh. The kids worked extremely hard gluing strips of paper to a large canvas that looked just like the brush strokes of Van Gogh. I am very proud of all their hard work!
We also continued to work on our fine motor skills with activities such as beading, lacing, sticker play, and feeding our tennis ball monsters!
