Chanukah was in the air this week. We have had so much excitment and fun. Peeling and grating potatoes to make latkas, shaping ,frying and decorating doughnuts, watching the colours of paint swirl together as we spun a salad spinner with paper dreidels and paint, meeting the letter ches and its sound that comes at the beginning of the word : Chanukah, celebrating Sapir's birthday with Chanukah face painting and a party, and of course enjoying the fun PJ party. Have a happy chanukah and see you all next week.
This week we had so much learning about the letter K. We focussed on lessons of kindness and explored different ways to be kind to our moms and dads, our brothers and sisters, our friends, animals, and plants. To encourage our acts of kindness we made kindness brcaelets, paper smiles, and giving plants just like the special tree in Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree." Wishing you all a wonderful Chanukah and a week full of kindness!
