Kitah ג Kindergarten, October 19-23, 2015
This week we learned the letter beis. We had fun cutting the letter out and painting it. We also learned parshas lech lecha, about Hashem promising that Avrom will have as many children as the stars. We were happy to learn that we are Avroham’s children. To really feel the lesson of the Parsha, we traced and cut out stars and drew a picture of ourselves on it and hung them in our classroom. We played a game of hide and seek. We all took turns hiding in a box and guessing who was hidden underneath.
Ricky and Picky came to our class this week. We helped them learn how to be thoughtful and use our thinking brain to help our friends.
This week in kindergarten we learned about the letter Pp. We cut it out, traced it, practiced writing it on our own, learned the sound Pp makes and made a big list of all the words we know that start with Pp. We also learned about the colour yellow and learned a new song to help us to recognize it and remember how to spell it: Yellow! Yellow! Y-E-L-L-O-W Yellow! Yellow! Y-E-L-L-O-W Yellow sun and banana too! Y-E-L-L-O-W Yellow sun and banana too! Y-E-L-L-O-W Yellow! Yellow! Y-E-L-L-O-W Yellow! Yellow! Y-E-L-L-O-W Our new sight words this week are "the" and "is." We also starting learning all about fall and we went on a fall walk to see the changing trees and leaves.
