We have been having so much fun in our classroom. We have been speaking about different ways we can be extra nice to our friends in preparation for Shavuos when we received the Torah. We came up with different ideas and are trying to be extra careful to use our words when we want a turn with something. We decorated our own big happy hearts with googley eyes, hands, feet and mouths. We want to make our friends only have happy hearts. We have also started to speak about Lag Baomer and heard the story of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. We learned about how he hid in a cave and Hashem took care of him there by providing a big carob tree and stream of water.
We have really enjoyed being able to spend so much time outside in the park. We have so much fun running, swinging, sliding, climbing and balancing. We took bubbles outside and had so much fun seeing them float away. We are so excited to see the leaves starting to sprout on the trees. Please send your child with a sun hat to protect them from the strong sun.
We are continuing meeting new letters and we are focusing on reviewing some of the old ones. We have had so much fun with our playdough and Alef Bais cookie cutters. We had a lot of fun throwing bean bags onto a big Alef Bais mat and jumping to the letter our beanbag landed on.
Can't wait for another amazing week. We will focus on Lag Baomer next week and we hope to see you all on Thursday May 7th at 4:30 in Joe Malone Park for a Lag Baomer BBQ and family fun day.
