We had so much fun this week learning about Yom Kippur. We played with a scale and saw how some things are heavier and make the scale tip.We discussed how we want to have a lot of Mitzvos (good deeds) and make the mitzvah side of the scale so heavy so Hashem will give us a good year. We traced our feet to make special foam slippers and had a blast walking around in them. We used sponges to paint huge slippers that are on our bulletin board. We know that on Yom Kippur we don't wear comfortable leather shoes. We had fun going on a walk and looking at all the leaves. We enjoyed feeling new textures when we mixed corn starch and water together. We are also trying very hard to use Mr. Hurray hands and pleasant voices in our classroom and put our snacks away.
Next week we will learn all about the Holiday of Sukkos.
